NOTICE

Applications are invited on prescribed format from eligible candidates for empanelment as Standing Counsels and Additional Standing Counsels in various Court Complexes in Delhi. The candidate who possesses the following eligibility criteria and experience can apply for empanelment on the panel of Delhi Legal Services Authority.

Eligibility

For Empanelment in Criminal Courts: An Advocate should be having 7 years or above standing at the Bar but in no case, less than 3 years on the date of the notification.

For Empanelment in Civil Court, Rent Courts and Small Causes Courts Civil and Other Courts: An Advocate should be having 7 years or above standing at the Bar but in no case, less than 3 years on the date of the notification.

For Empanelment in Labour Courts, Central Administrative Tribunal, Consumer Courts, Railway Claim Tribunal and Other Specified Courts / Tribunals: An Advocate should be having not have less than 7 years standing at the Bar on the date of the notification.

¢ Application forms will be made available from 20th March, 2008.
¢ Last date for submission of completed Application form: 7th April, 2008.

How to Apply

1. Application form along with detailed instructions and terms & conditions of empanelment in Delhi Legal Services Authority can be obtained from the office of Secretaries of Delhi Legal Services Authority in the various Court Complexes in Delhi or can be downloaded from our website www.dlsa.nic.in or Delhi District Court website www.delhicourts.nic.in

2. The candidates are advised to read the instructions contained in the advisement carefully to ensure that they are eligible for empanelment in Delhi Legal Services Authority in terms of qualification, instructions and conditions.

3. The candidate shall apply for empanelment on the application format prescribed by the Delhi Legal Services Authority and not in any other form.

4. A candidate shall submit only one application. The panel of Advocates shall be prepared Court Complex wise and the candidate can select only one Court Complex for empanelment in Delhi Legal Services Authority.

5. The applications shall be submitted with the respective Secretaries of Delhi Legal Services Authority in each Court Complex, who shall transmit the same to Administrative Branch of Delhi Legal Services Authority at 54-57, Permanent Legal Services Authority, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Place, Gole Market, New Delhi.

Terms and conditions

1. The candidate already panel of the Delhi Legal Services Authority can also apply for this new panel.

2. The new panel shall be initially for a period of two years.

3. The candidate shall specify only one particular area of interest/field in which he intends to work.

4. Panel Advocates shall be paid fees as per Schedule of Fee.

Selection Process

1. The candidates will be personally interviewed by the Interview Board.
